My name is Abenaa Yamoah. I am a PhD Student in Cognitive Neuroscience at Florida International University with the Project on Language and Spatial Development Laboratory. Welcome to my site!

I am extremely interested in the intersection between developmental science and cognitive neuroscience, especially in early childhood populations. I research how children navigate in and learn from their everyday environments, as well as, the acquisition and development of children's spatial language abilities.
Having seen how critical scientific communication is for successfully implementing parent and family recruitment, I aim to increase child and parent participation in STEM research through fun and engaging community outreach. I am dedicated to helping others fall in love with science, from underrepresented communities interested in participating to future researchers unsure of where to begin. I aspire to help others understand how impactful research can be.
